Prior to founding this firm, Ms. Quateman was a large law firm partner. The Los Angeles Business Journal selected her as one of Los Angeles' top 100 attorneys. She has been recognized as a "Woman Making a Difference" by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and has been selected as a "Super Lawyer" and "Best Lawyer" numerous times.
She is a frequent speaker at conferences and continuing education programs, including the Special Assets Management Association, Crocker Symposium, California Public Finance Conference, the California State Treasurer's Office, the League of California Cities, the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission and Airports Council International-North America. Ms. Quateman is at the forefront of financing issues and has experience advising on new programs, disclosure obligations and complex financings. In addition, Ms. Quateman has worked on hundreds of debt offerings, some involving IRS private letter rulings. Ms. Quateman serves as outside counsel for numerous large and middle market companies, financial institutions and governmental entities such as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the State of California and the City of Los Angeles.
Ms. Quateman was appointed and reappointed by former Los Angeles Mayors Riordan and Hahn to the Board of Directors of the Industrial Development Authority, City of Los Angeles, which issues industrial development and empowerment zone bonds in the City of Los Angeles. She served in that capacity for eight years and was honored for her service by the Los Angeles City Council.
In the non-profit arena, Ms. Quateman is currently on the Board of Directors and General Counsel of CREW-LA, the Los Angeles member organization of Commercial Real Estate Women, and is a past President and National Delegate. She is a past Chair of the Arthritis Foundation Chapter governing Southern California and several other States, and served on the Board of Directors for nearly twenty years. She also has served on the Education Committee of the State Bar's Business Law Section, as Associate Editor of the State Bar Annual Review of Recent Business Law Developments and as Co-Editor of the California Legislative Bulletin. Ms. Quateman served as a Consultant for two books: Counseling California Corporations, and Mortgages and Deeds of Trust, both published by California Continuing Education of the Bar.
She is a graduate fellow of Leadership LA and serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Leadership Network. This is a leadership development program for mid-career executives that is affiliated with the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. She has served on numerous other non-profit and charitable boards.
