Mr. Schwartz has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and underwriter's counsel in numerous public finance transactions, with particular emphasis on utility financings and conduit financings on behalf of both commercial and nonprofit entities. His practice also includes complex joint venture transactions, multi-state and cross-border transactions, real property portfolio acquisition and disposition, real estate secured financing and leasing.

While in law school, Mr. Schwartz received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Samuel C. Thompson, Jr., focusing on mergers and acquisitions within the telecommunications industry for the third edition of "Business Planning for Mergers and Acquisitions." As an attorney, Mr. Schwartz was honored for his volunteer legal work at Bet Tzedek, one of the nation's premier legal service organizations, providing free legal assistance to low-income members of the community. Mr. Schwartz completed the 2009 Malibu Creek Challenge Trail Run (25 km).
