Mr. Reimers has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel and issuer’s counsel in a variety of public finance transactions for ports, airports, water and power districts, cities, counties, the State of California and various State agencies. These financings have included auction rate securities, innovative new credits, lease-leaseback transactions, real estate acquisitions, bond pooling, liquidity facilities and credit support, multi-family housing, bond workouts and equipment leasing.  Mr. Reimers has successfully resolved numerous disputes on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in its role as Receiver for certain failed banks.

Mr. Reimers was formerly associated with Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association and Orange County Employees Retirement System.

Mr. Reimers is a co-author of a “Feature Article” in the May 2004 issue of the California Business Law Reporter, “Alter Ego and Adequate Capitalization: How Much Is Enough?” exploring the intersection of limited liability and “piercing” the corporate veil, and discussing the role inadequate capitalization plays in veil piercing analysis. This article is included as a chapter in CEB’s Organizing Corporations.

While at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Mr. Reimers worked with the Connecticut Urban Legal Institute, a non-profit organization which provided legal services, including advice regarding real estate and finance matters, to non-profit clients. At the University of California Riverside, Mr. Reimers was the President and founding member of the Riverside chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

Mr. Reimers completed the 2006 Kings Trail Triathlon in Maui, Hawaii to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
